Exxceed Wellness offers California-licensed telehealth psychiatric care to adult patients across the state. Common telehealth services include adult ADHD evaluation, medication management for depression and anxiety, and follow-up care after in-office Spravato or TMS treatment at our Hayward, CA clinic.

What you can do via telehealth with us

The services below are fully available via secure video telehealth from anywhere in California:

Adult ADHD evaluation

One-appointment ASRS-based clinical evaluation. Details ›

Medication management

For depression, anxiety, ADHD, and other psychiatric conditions. Initial medication evaluation and ongoing follow-up.

Spravato or TMS pre-evaluation

Clinical evaluation to determine if you’re a candidate before traveling to our Hayward clinic.

Follow-up care between in-office sessions

Once you’ve started Spravato or TMS in Hayward, ongoing medication review can happen via telehealth.

What is not available via telehealth

Spravato and TMS require in-office sessions

Both Spravato (esketamine) and TMS therapy require in-person delivery at our Hayward clinic. For Spravato this is federally required (REMS program). For TMS it’s clinically required (the equipment lives in the clinic). Pre-evaluation, post-induction follow-up, and adjunct medication management can happen via telehealth, but the actual treatment sessions cannot.

How a first telehealth visit works

  1. Schedule the appointment. Book directly with our practice via the contact page or by calling (415) 636-9700.
  2. Complete pre-visit forms. We send intake paperwork including any relevant rating scales (e.g., ASRS for ADHD evaluations) before the appointment.
  3. Confirm you’re in California. California medical practice acts require the patient to be physically located in California during the visit.
  4. Join the video call. Secure HIPAA-compliant video. We send the link with reminder.
  5. Clinical conversation. Same depth as an in-person visit. Most evaluations are completed in one appointment.
  6. Treatment plan. If medications are appropriate, prescriptions are sent to your preferred pharmacy. Follow-up scheduled at the end of the visit.

California telehealth FAQ

Do I have to live in California to see you via telehealth?

You must be physically located in California at the time of each visit. California medical practice acts require this for licensed-California-only providers, and our practice operates under California licensure.

Can you prescribe ADHD medication via telehealth in California?

Yes, with appropriate clinical evaluation. Controlled-substance prescribing rules can change at the federal and state levels — we follow current guidance at every visit. After the initial evaluation, ongoing prescriptions can typically be managed via telehealth.

Will my insurance cover a telehealth visit?

Most plans we accept cover telehealth psychiatric services at parity with in-person visits. We verify benefits before your appointment.

Can I get TMS or Spravato via telehealth?

No. Both treatments require in-office sessions at our Hayward clinic. We can do consultation, evaluation, and follow-up via telehealth, but the treatment sessions themselves cannot be delivered remotely.

What platform do you use for telehealth?

Secure HIPAA-compliant video. The specific platform link is sent in your appointment confirmation. No app installation is required for most patients.

Do I need to be in California for the entire visit?

Yes. California medical practice acts require the patient to be physically present in California during a synchronous telehealth visit. If you’re traveling out of state, we reschedule.
